We help clients accelerate innovation, ensure quality, and improve performance across the entire product lifecycle.We are currently supporting a specialist client focused on electric vehicle powertrain and ancillary technology development and are looking for a Junior Systems Engineer to join the team and play a key role in electric vehicle electronic system design and integration from initial requirements identification through to final calibration and validation. This is a permanent role based in Oxfordshire.Responsibilities Develop and define vehicle-level system architecture.Design and implement high- and low-voltage electrical systems and communication networks.Engineer integration strategies for vehicle electrical subsystems.Conduct safety assessments and support functional safety design processes.Create and build test rigs for system verification.Perform system-level testing, calibration, and validation.Qualifications Familiarity with modern EV powertrain systems and components.Proven ability to design vehicle systems architecture.Proficient in CAN and LIN communication protocols, including use of diagnostic tools such as PEAK, Vector CANalyzer/CANoe.Skilled in creating system diagrams using Microsoft Visio or equivalent software.Experience with wiring loom design and layout.Hands-on expertise in electronic system testing, calibration, and validation.Comfortable using test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers.Additional information To meet current legislation, right to work checks will be carried out to ensure candidates are able to work within the UK, and sponsorship for this role is not available.All applications will be treated confidentially, and conversations will be kept respectful.
