At Apogee, we are looking for a proactive IT Systems Support Engineer to join our dynamic internal IT team. This is a critical role focused on delivering high-quality support across our hybrid infrastructure - spanning both on-premise systems and a growing cloud environment.
You will be at the forefront of ensuring seamless access to IT services for users across the UK and Europe, with a particular emphasis on Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID (Azure AD), and virtualisation platforms. From managing user accounts and troubleshooting connectivity issues to supporting cloud migrations and monitoring system performance, you will help drive the effectiveness, security, and scalability of our IT operations.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to deepen your experience with cloud technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where innovation and service excellence go hand in hand. A typical working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with a one-hour lunch break. This role also offers flexibility to work from home, typically two days per week for a five-day working week.
Key Responsibilities- Install, update, and support end-user applications.
- Provide technical support for both cloud and on-premise infrastructure, including servers, networks, and applications.
- Configure new hardware and deploy computer accessories, ensuring operational readiness.
- Troubleshoot network faults across LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments.
- Manage user permissions using Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Support communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
- Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projects.
- Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and take proactive measures.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
- Resolve IT service tickets promptly and effectively in accordance with SLAs.
- Provide on-call support as required.
