Overview

We\’re looking for a proactive and people-focused HR Advisor to join our Kingspan Technical Insulation team in Basildon. This is a permanent, part-time role (24 hours per week over three days) with flexibility on which days you work, provided they fall between Monday and Friday.

In this role, you\’ll be the first point of contact for around 100 employees, providing clear, practical HR advice and guidance, while being fully supported by the wider Kingspan Insulation UK HR team. You\’ll play a key part in ensuring our people receive a high-quality HR service β€” managing day-to-day queries, coordinating HR processes, and delivering advice aligned with both legal requirements and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute and support the continuous improvement of HR systems, practices and policies in the organisation, ensuring they underpin our Company culture and values.
  • Support the HR Team in achieving business objectives and assist and lead where appropriate on Human Resources projects and activities.
  • Provide support to the team with regards to recruitment, payroll and systems as and when required.
  • Provide an advisory service to employees ensuring that they are fully aware of their rights and entitlements, e.g. wages, sick pay, expenses, leave entitlements and any other HR related queries.
  • Have knowledge of developments in employment legislation and human resources best practice, sharing ideas and proposals with the team to ensure continuous improvement in your role and the department.
  • Provide effective advice and administrative support to Managers in relation to conduct, capability, grievance matters, organisational change and employee relations matters across the organisation in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Administer the full employee life cycle, including onboarding and offboarding, job changes and promotions and all types of leave.
  • Ensure all documentation is compliant and in line with relevant legislation, ensure a right first time attitude and an audit ready approach.
  • Provide data for business KPI\’s including, Working Time Regulation breaches, absence, retention rates, exit interview data and Disciplinary and Grievances.
  • Support the delivery of HR/ Business initiatives in improving employee relations and employee engagement.
  • Manage and administer HR purchase orders on SAP software and/or liaising with the Purchasing team as appropriate.
  • Ensure utilisation of relevant HR systems supporting employees and managers in using relevant systems.
  • Support the administration of all health and wellbeing initiatives including occupational health assessments, eye tests and flu vaccinations.

Qualifications

  • CIPD qualified to level 3 or working towards
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
  • Experience of working alone effectively
  • Excellent administrative skills and good attention to detail
  • Structured and organised approach to fulfilling work commitments
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications

Desirable

  • Has previously worked for a manufacturing company
  • Has experience working across varied legal jurisdictions
  • Confident at delivering feedback and communication with all levels of the company
