We are seeking skilled Class 1 HGV Drivers to join our team for our client in Liverpool. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting containers or carrying out the delivery of general haulage across the UK at night, ensuring safe and timely deliveries.
Duties:
- Drive Class 1 HGV in a safe manner
- Transport containers or general haulage across the UK or locally
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety before and after shifts
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods
- Comply with HGV driving rules and regulations
Working Hours:
- Start times between 4PM and 6PM
- Monday to Friday
- Shifts lasting 9-12 hours
- £18 per hour Monday to Friday
- £19 per hour on weekends
- £20.17 per hour (including holidays) weeknights
- £21.29 per hour (including holidays) weekends
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of Class 1 HGV CAT C+E experience
- Valid CPC and Tachograph Card
- Extensive knowledge of HGV driving rules and regulations
- No more than 6 points for minor offences; no DD, DG, IN, CD, TT violations
- Dock/Port Card
