Food and Beverage Assistant – IKEA Glasgow Store
Overview
IKEA Glasgow are looking to welcome part-time Food and Beverage Assistants to join our delightful and hardworking team within the Restaurant, Bistro and Swedish Food Market. If you are passionate about food and love creating memorable dining experiences, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to delight our guests. Employment Type: Part Time, Regular. Department: Bistro & Sweden Shop. Number of Positions: 5.
What we offer
- Start date of employment: September 27, 2025.
- Competitive hourly rate of £12.60 per hour.
- Contracts ranging from 12 to 24 hours, working between 2-5 shifts per week and 3 in 4 weekends per month.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts between 7am – 10pm.

What you\’ll need to have
- Previous food and customer service experience can be beneficial, but we welcome candidates who are ready to get involved in the work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-reliant and motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Organised and detail-oriented, even when things get busy.
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older (health and safety guidelines).
What you\’ll be doing day to day
- Serving food, handling tills, cleaning and clearing the restaurant, and working in the dishwashing area.
- Providing a customer-focused service to create the best possible experience; listen, act, and exceed expectations.
- Ensuring safety protocols and regulations are followed to maintain a secure environment for customers and co-workers.
- Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment.
- Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Manual handling and use of equipment when unloading deliveries.
