We're seeking a detail-oriented Bench Assembly Technician with a strong foundation in electrical systems and mechanical assembly to support our growing production team.

Job Purpose: As an Electro-Mechanical Bench Assembly Technician, your job purpose will be to assemble medical gas control devices, components and sub-assemblies at a workstation or bench according to engineering drawings, quality standards, and production targets. Please note that the company does not offer sponsorship and therefore candidates must have the legal right to live and work in the UK to be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and fit electrical and mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, and semi-automated equipment
  • Carry out electrical repairs and rework on assembled units, ensuring full functionality and compliance with specifications
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics to guide accurate assembly and fault diagnosis
  • Conduct thorough visual and functional quality checks on electrical and mechanical assemblies
  • Identify and report defects or non-conforming materials to the quality control team
  • Maintain accurate production records and report task completion to the team lead
  • Perform minor adjustments and repairs to ensure product reliability
  • Maintain a clean and safe workstation, adhering to all safety protocols
  • Meet daily/weekly production targets while upholding high-quality standards
  • Assist with inventory control of electrical and mechanical components
  • Collaborate with engineers, quality inspectors, and team members to resolve technical assembly issues

About you:

  • GCSEs or equivalent (Maths and English preferred)
  • Technical or vocational qualification in electronics, electrical engineering, or manufacturing (advantageous)
