Overview
Electrical Engineer – Technical Support role at TieTalent.
Location: office-based (Monday-Friday, with a half-day on Friday). ASAP start.
Salary: £35,000-£38,500 + Yearly Bonus.
An automotive company that is well established in its field. You will provide phone, email and Teams support for the maintenance of Petrol/Diesel Fuel Injection test equipment. Hydrogen Fuel testing equipment is on the horizon.
You will be eligible for an uncapped yearly bonus (last year paid at 18%). This is dependent on personal and company performance. You will also be enrolled in an attractive pension scheme. The role is Monday to Friday, 8:00-16:30 (8:00-13:30 on Friday).
Responsibilities
- Be fault-finding technical issues and guiding technicians through complex diagnostics to a fast resolution.
- Provide phone, email and Teams support for the maintenance of fuel injection test equipment.
- Communicate with customers via telephone, video call, live chat and email, delivering strong customer service.
- Work in a small team with three customer support technicians, a field service technician and the customer support manager; report to the manager.
- Some on-call work will be required; on-call compensation is provided in addition to salary.
Qualifications
- Strong electronics background with some mechanical understanding.
- Good customer service skills and ability to communicate with customers across multiple channels.
- Ideally an ex-maintenance or field engineer transitioning to a desk-based position.
Working hours
Monday-Thursday: 8:00-16:30; Friday: 8:00-13:30.
Team and reporting
You will be working within a small but skilled team made up of three customer support technicians, a field service technician and the customer support manager to whom you will report.
