You will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and excellence in electrical design at our cutting-edge R&D and manufacturing facility in Bedford, Bedfordshire.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer or Specialist Engineer with an Electrical bias to join our dynamic and innovative environment. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will support production activities and advance the design and analysis of electrical parts, components, subassemblies, and power distribution systems used in electrical charging systems for multiple industries.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on New Product Development/Introduction and existing products, applications, and facilities
- Develop electrical designs for products, applications, and equipment, including wiring, busbars, component selection, and internal layout design
- Perform and document calculations to ensure designs meet requirements
- Drive cost reduction and reliability improvements for pre-release or existing products
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Experience with industrial-type equipment
- Capable of schematic layout, wiring sizing, and control cabinet layouts
- Previous PLC programming experience preferred, but not essential
