Overview

This role involves delivering groceries on a schedule that may include evenings and weekends; shifts are AM & PM with a paid breaks structure and a competitive pay package.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality groceries on time to customers as part of the Ocado Logistics team.
  • Follow pre-planned routes using automated technology to pre-load your van.
  • Communicate effectively as a customer-facing team member and provide a high level of service.
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards while on the road and during deliveries.
  • Participate in DBS, right to work checks, and an online Licence Check as part of the recruitment process.
  • Attend a site tour and participate in a light-touch interview as part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Full UK or EU driving licence.
  • Minimum of 6 months driving experience (12 months desirable).
  • Maximum of 6 penalty points.
  • No driving disqualifications in the past 5 years.
  • Must be over 18 to handle alcohol deliveries where applicable.
  • Good communication skills for a customer-facing role.

Pay, Hours & Benefits

  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Contract Hours: 40 hours per week (including paid breaks)
  • Contracted days: Any 5 days out of 7; shifts include AM and PM; starts as early as 05:30 and may finish as late as 00:00
  • Shifts: Lunar pay structure; paid every 4 weeks on a monthly schedule
  • Hourly Pay Rates: Base rate £13.28; Evening Premium £1.12 (from 6pm); Sunday Day Premium £1.33; Sunday Evening Premium £2.56; Overtime rates £16.60 - £18.00
  • All breaks paid; more information provided during pre-boarding
