As a Senior Staff Nurse in our Ambulatory Care Unit you will provide clinical care to patients undergoing a range of surgical procedures, cardiac interventions, endoscopy and some medical procedures. As Senior Staff Nurse, the post-holder supervises the team on shift ensuring safe, high standards of care and customer service, optimises patient flow, and also provides support to and deputises for the Unit Manager.
Hours are worked between 07:00 to 19:30 Monday to Saturday with occasional bank holidays.

About us: Our 12 space Ambulatory Care Unit delivers care for those undergoing surgical and medical procedures who do not need to stay overnight. We treat those undergoing procedures across a range of specialties including cardiology, general surgery, orthopaedics, and gynaecology. In addition, the hospital has 3 main theatres, a day theatre/endoscopy unit, cardiac cath lab, 29-bedded ward and busy outpatient department. These are supported by physiotherapy, pharmacy and cardiac physiologist services. The unit operates 6 days a week between 07:00 and approximately 20:30.
