Location: Buttershaw, Bradford, hybrid working (1 office day per week), with regular regional travel across multiple sites. Full UK driving licence required. Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
We are a Water Utility Company based in the Yorkshire region of England seeking a Commercial Land and Property Surveyor to join the Land and Property department at Yorkshire Water and help us provide the best service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice to Yorkshire Water on disposals and acquisitions, Landlord/ Tenant issues and general estate matters in relation to the implementation of the company’s strategy.
- Undertake inspections of various types of land and property.
- Support the Lead Commercial Surveyor in managing estate matters.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to problem solve and identify risks and opportunities across the estate.
- Support the Lead Commercial Surveyor in managing and reporting on income and expenditure.
- Support the Lead Commercial Surveyor to deliver financial targets and business strategy with regular reporting to achieve annual and 5 yearly targets.
What skills & qualifications you will need
- Assoc RICS/ MRICS qualified
- Demonstrable track record of managing end-to-end process for disposals, acquisitions and estate management, to a high standard and within time constraints
- Experience visiting/inspecting different types of land and property
- Excellent and demonstrable understanding of Health and Safety regulations
- Extensive knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements relating to ownership, management, sale, purchase and leasing of land and property
- Extensive knowledge of regional property markets
- Track record of delivering results against challenging financial targets
- Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills
