We are currently looking for an experienced Chef to join our care team in Ayr. Full-Time Chef, 5 days from 7 between 7am – 7pm with no late nights.
Working in a Care Home as a Chef can be challenging, but it is a very rewarding role. The hours are sociable and support a better work-life balance while maintaining high culinary standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals that meet high standards and accommodate residents with different dietary needs.
- Ensure meals are nutritious for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Manage supplies, order stock, create menus, and maintain kitchen inventory.
- Ensure the kitchen and equipment meet all health and safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Ideally, experience in a Care Home or a commercial kitchen.
- SVQ/NVQ qualification in food preparation or cooking (or equivalent).
- Ability to work as part of a team in a busy, fast-paced environment with a passion for providing excellent dining for residents.
