Salary for Home Manager role: £36k to £40k. Remedicare have a new exciting career opportunity become available with one of our most successful care providers in the country. We are recruiting for a Home Manager to manage a 15-bedded care home in Weston-super-Mare for Learning Disabilities care. This role is all about making sure the environment meets a high standard and initiates a proactive schedule of future works.

The successful candidate will need to have relevant experience and ideally have worked in a similar environment. My client is considering candidates who have 2 years of Home Manager experience within a nursing home.

Key Requirements for Home Manager Role
  • Two years previous experience as a Nursing Home Manager is essential.
  • NVQ Level 5 or equivalent qualification, or willing to work towards.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player.
  • Have a clear and thorough knowledge of the CQC standards.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
Brief Job Responsibilities for Home Manager Role
  • Responsible for the 24-hour smooth running of the home.
  • Must have strong leadership and organisational skills to ensure high standards of care and business efficiency.
  • Ability to prepare monthly reports collected for the Board of Directors and the Care Quality Commission.
  • Good communication skills are essential to liaise with the residents’ families, friends, GP, community nurses, specialists, pharmacists, local authorities, local councils, voluntary bodies, and any other associations related to the care for the elderly.
