About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanic / MOT Tester to join a respected, independent garage located just outside central Cambridge. If you value doing things properly and enjoy working in a friendly, skilled team that takes pride in every vehicle, this is a great opportunity.
You will be involved in all aspects of vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and MOT testing. The work is varied and hands-on—no production-line servicing here. You will work with a range of makes and models and have access to quality tools and equipment in a supportive workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards (beneficial but not essential)
- Service and maintain a variety of vehicles
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs accurately
- Log work thoroughly and ensure a high standard of service
- Collaborate with a small, experienced team of technicians
Requirements:
- MOT licence (Class 4) preferred but not essential
- At least 3 years' experience as a vehicle technician
- Confident in diagnostics and fault finding
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage your workload
- Full UK driving licence
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
No weekend work
