I am looking for a Building Surveyor to join a Housing association who specialise in providing homes for those with learning disabilities and autism.
You will be responsible for a patch covering from South Birmingham, Coventry, Leomington Spa, Oxford, Gloucester and Bristol.
The role is paying a salary of £47,000 plus £5,000 car allowance.
The Building Surveyor will be responsible for all Surveying duties on site, including planned, repairs, voids and damp and mould, whilst managing contractors on site. You will be home-based with mileage included for all site based travel.
Building Surveyor Duties
- Maintain the property assets to a high standard, which ensures tenants achieve a good quality of living
- Carry out Planned works investment surveys and void surveys
- Support the growth targets by providing specialist knowledge to acquire new services and areas for development
- Manage and organise your own diary
- Oversee external and internal contractors carrying out the works
Experience Required For The Role
- Minimum HND/C in a Building related discipline
- Effectively knowledge of financial control and budget management to ensure a successful delivery of planned investment works
- Demonstrate ability to prepare and interpret numerical data and explain to others
- Ability to undertake technical surveying/ building and maintenance inspections, including knowledge of building maintenance and construction and process.
- Willingness and ability to travel between sites
- Understand CDM and health and safety upon the delivery of any contract works
- Experience in a similar role in social housing
