Overview
The Fuel BU is a world leader in the manufacture of fuels for nuclear power plants and research reactors with R&D, design and plant centers on the American and European continents. Framatome is implementing a new factory for the assembly of fuels for the operation of nuclear power plants in the United Kingdom. This plant will be built in phases to meet short, medium and long-term objectives. The investment project is led by Framatome and must be innovative to meet the challenges of the company and the United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
- Define and deploy system engineering (SE) methods, on complex systems or projects, within a team, in compliance with customer standards, schedules and budgets.
- Carry out activities in at least three core SE disciplines (requirements management, interfaces management and configuration management) among those identified in the internal SE reference.
- Provide regular technical support to the design architect or the construction manager, as well as expert support on SE methods to engineers, designers and architects.
- Verify that the SE disciplines it controls are taken into account in the work carried out within the project.
- Propose solutions to solve technical, quality or other problems and, if necessary, changes in work techniques and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Present internally, to clients and the internal management of the BU, the results of the synthesis of the activities on the SE disciplines, carried out within the framework of the project reviews.
- Lead internal and external training courses in its technical field.
- Manage engineering companies and contractors on its area of activity.
- Contribute, in support of the architects, to the definition of the SE strategy and a project organization integrating the SE.
Qualifications
- Will have a demonstrable record of experience in SE implementation and management.
- 5 years+ in at least one area of SE management.
- 2 years+ on a factory design or construction project.
- Capacity to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
- Flexible mindset to daily jump from one SE matter to another.
- Enjoy working in a project team.
- Candidates with specific experience of Cradle software or Revit will be a plus, but it is not mandatory.

Position Location: Bristol, England initially, with transfer to a site about 30 kms from Bristol. Professional travels: France, Germany and UK.
