Are you a hands-on sales leader who thrives on both winning business and leading teams? Do you want the autonomy to shape UK & European sales for a manufacturer rather than a box-shifter? Looking for a role where you can put your stamp on a sales function and directly influence growth?

The Role

You’ll lead and develop sales across the UK and Europe, managing two experienced sales team members (one in the North and one in the South) while retaining responsibility for key accounts yourself. This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll be out with customers, winning new business, and building lasting relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing and growing the existing customer base, including distributors and major accounts.
  • Driving sales into new markets such as vehicle converters, plant & machinery, material handling, agriculture, and recovery.
  • Developing business with end-users, including van converters, trailer manufacturers, importers, and OE vehicle manufacturers.
  • Supporting the team in achieving and exceeding targets across the UK and Europe.
  • Identifying new product opportunities and market trends, feeding back to the business.
  • Representing the business at trade shows and with customers across the UK and internationally.

Why Apply?

  • Impact – Join a family-owned manufacturer with a strong reputation and genuine growth trajectory (sales are already 10% up on last year).
  • Stability – This is a business that has hit target in 7 of the last 8 years (only missing during 2020).
  • Ownership – You’ll have full responsibility for the UK and Europe, and be part of the leadership team.
  • Rewards – £50–55k salary, car or car allowance, bonus, and 25 days’ holiday.

You

  • A proven sales leader with at least 5 years’ experience in the automotive sector (OE or aftermarket).
  • Strong key account management and new business development skills.
  • Experience leading and motivating a small sales team.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the UK and into Europe.
  • Language skills in German or French would be a real advantage.
