About The Job

We are looking for an experienced business development professional with a strong understanding of the Transport sector. You will play a key role in driving growth within Unipart Logistics' Transport sector. You'll be responsible for achieving business development targets and contributing to the implementation of the sector strategy. As a Business Development Manager, you'll cultivate and manage relationships with clients, identify new business opportunities, and lead the development of proposals and presentations.

As part of your key responsibilities you'll:

  • Work collaboratively with the Business Development team to ensure alignment with Unipart Logistics' overall objectives
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Transport sector, contributing to and exceeding set targets
  • Support the Transport Director in delivering growth targets aligned with the corporate plan
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the sector strategy, identifying target customers, markets, and services
  • Assist in shaping Transport sector offerings based on customer insights and working with the engineering and innovation team
  • Deliver sector-specific value propositions and support marketing efforts in communicating these effectively
  • Contribute to sector mapping, research, opportunity identification, and development
  • Support the overall pipeline sector development and provide leads to other sectors as appropriate
  • Prepare detailed tender information for review, ensuring new business meets profitability targets
  • Develop and manage new customer relationships through proactive prospecting and targeting
  • Lead the preparation of tender responses and presentations
  • Facilitate the smooth transition of new customers to Operations teams

About You
