Location: Northwest-based candidate who is willing to travel throughout the UK with some overnight stays. This position is part of the Electrical Compliance team, supporting the energised testing team. You will carry out various electrical installations of low voltage wiring and containment systems, and be responsible for testing and inspecting these installations. There are opportunities to develop and advance within the team as training for Live Testing is provided.
About the Role: This role supports our Electrical Compliance team and involves delivering installation and testing activities for low voltage wiring and containment systems. You will have the opportunity to develop through courses to train you for Live Testing.
Your key responsibilities:
- Performing and adhering to safe electrical isolation procedures for existing live circuits.
- Installing various low voltage wiring systems and cable containment systems.
- Issuing installation and condition reports.
- Testing energising systems up to 1000V, including newly installed and modified electrical systems.
- Ensuring that all operational procedures, safe working practices, and H&S procedures are followed.
- Completing any reasonable tasks assigned in accordance with your position, with the aim of adding value.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams and drawings.
- Following a schedule of works as agreed with adi/customer.
About You: Experience of electrical installations and testing within a process plant environment. Experience of Manufacturing and Industrial sector is essential. 2391 or 2394/5 qualified and knowledge of condition reporting. 18th edition qualified. NVQ Level 3 qualification. Level 3 Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations. Full UK Driving License. Experience of using thermal imaging test equipment would be beneficial but not essential.
