Join our Architecture Services Team. The Architecture Services Team comprises members from many different technical and non-technical backgrounds; from network and security to datacentre, end-user compute, and service architecture. The team provides customers and the wider Softcat team with a broad view—helping to integrate all pieces of the puzzle and translating business requirements into technical solutions across multiple disciplines.

As a Vendor Architect focused on Palo Alto Networks, you will be part of the Architecture Services Team. Your role will involve creating Palo Alto Networks solutions to address customer challenges. You will develop expertise in the full Palo Alto Networks portfolio, including Strata, Prisma SASE, Cortex, and Prisma Cloud. You will lead technical aspects of customer projects and produce high-quality design documentation as needed.
Working closely with your Team Leader and Mentor, you will aim to become a Subject Matter Expert in Palo Alto Networks and related security disciplines. You will collaborate with Softcat's Networking and Security Specialist teams to optimize customer investments and expand our customer base.
As Vendor Architect / SE – Palo Alto Networks, your responsibilities include:
- Understanding, scoping, and documenting customer business and technical requirements.
- Producing Bills of Materials (BoMs) and foundational documentation.
- Developing cross-discipline and multi-vendor solutions with other team members and consultants.
- Providing technical insights to Sales and Account Management teams to support customer needs.
We'd love you to have:
- A passion for technology and a desire to help businesses leverage it effectively.
- Relevant degree or industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Palo Alto Networks certifications such as PSE, PCNSE, PCNSC), though these are not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, especially with clients.
- Strong time management and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
