Overview
Endpoint Migration Technician (3-Day Contract) – Newton Abbot, UK
Dates: 30 August – 1 September (3 days on-site)
Rate: £160–£200 per day (depending on day of the week)
Key Responsibilities
- Confirm devices meet Windows 11 compatibility (8th Gen CPU, 8GB+ RAM, SSD)
- Replace and deploy new user devices (unboxing, desk setup)
- Format and reinstall Windows via USB (USBs provided)
- Enroll devices into Microsoft Intune
- Configure and verify OneDrive and Outlook (Classic)
- Apply Windows updates and security patches
- Add printers as needed (primarily on Monday)
- Update migration tracker as devices are completed
- Provide general user support, especially on Monday
Requirements
- Experience in IT support, device deployment, or migration projects
- Familiarity with Windows 11, Intune, OneDrive, and Outlook setup
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently on-site
