Our client is a leading Investor in Infrastructure & Energy Projects. The Investment portfolio is varied and covers both Energy (battery storage) and Civil Infrastructural (roads, rail) projects as well as Residential investments. Due to their growing involvement in developing and managing investments across Europe we are now seeking a Design Manager with a Construction/Engineering background to join the Investment team. This demanding role will involve taking a lead in the design, procurement and commercial review of ongoing projects from a construction and operational perspective. Further responsibilities will include: early stage involvement in investment decisions with a key role in the selection and procurement of design, technology and construction partners commercial review and management of ongoing projects to insure commercial and technical risks are controlled management of O&M contractors to insure best commercial solution as well as asset performance regular reporting to project boards and investor committees in relation to project and asset performance Candidates will be degree qualified, ideally from an Engineering. Quantity Surveying or construction related field and have exposure to a wide range of major building or civil engineering projects (£50m +). Exposure to Design and Build, JVs or Partnership type projects would be a distinct advantage.
