Tidyco’s Rail Division plays a vital role in supporting the UK Rail Industry, working on both new build and maintenance projects for passenger and freight vehicles. We partner with train builders, operators, and owners, providing comprehensive "port to port" solutions for onboard train systems, including hydrostatic, coolant, fuel, water, and air systems. Our services range from full vehicle inspections to overhauls of complete equipment and single-part re-engineering. We focus on innovative designs that increase the time between service intervals, delivering long-term cost savings for our customers. This is a full time, permanent position.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between Tidyco and our valued customers. As this is a fairly new department to the business, you will have the chance to establish and shape the systems and structures needed to drive project success, making a real impact on the company’s continued growth and customer satisfaction.

  • Being able to identify and understand project risks and how to mitigate them.
  • Working with our production team to develop production schedules to meet customer requirements.
  • Providing a two-way interface between Tidyco and our customers – day to day enquiries, technical queries etc.
  • Developing project KPI’s.
  • Leading project review meetings internally and with the customer.
  • Liaising with the sales team over any commercial requirements.
  • Leading project start-up team once projects are awarded – developing specifications, criteria and project documentation.
  • Assisting with customer visits.
  • Maintaining accurate records.
  • Preparing internal and external reports and documentation including HSE documentation.
  • Preparing reports and KPI graphs.

Skills:

  • To be willing to undertake any relevant training relating to the role.
  • Previous experience of working within the Rail Industry.
  • PC/IT literate and be proficient in using standard Microsoft Office programs.
  • To be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers and visitors.
  • To be able to, and willing to, draft reports, emails and other related documentation.
  • Good knowledge and use of the internet.
  • To be able to work well individually (and using own initiative) and as part of a team.
  • To be able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Be a reliable, honest and trustworthy individual.
  • Have good commercial awareness.
  • Project Management experience that is specifically within the UK rail rolling stock industry.
  • PMP / PRINCE II (or equivalent).

Benefits:

  • Additional celebration day
  • Company pension
  • Profit Share Scheme
  • Free parking
  • Ongoing training opportunities
  • Early Friday finish
  • Employee Assistance Programme
