Tidyco is a multi-divisional engineering company based in Derby, since 1973, and are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual to join our current engineering team.
Job Description:
We are currently recruiting a Production Operative to join us in our busy engineering overhaul division. This role is a full time, fixed term maternity cover contract, expected to last approximately 12 months.
Working hours are 40 per week, working Monday – Thursday, 8.00am – 5.00pm, Friday 8.00am – 2.30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Cap and label hose assemblies ready for despatch
- Assist in making hose assemblies
- Operate a range of different tools and machinery
- Cut out hose assemblies ready for shot blast and paint
- Ensure all Health and Safety procedures and adhered to at all times
- Assemble brake coupling assemblies following
- Ensure your work space in clean and organised at all times.
- Other general housekeeping duties as requested.
Skills:
- Experience of working within a similar role.
- Effective and professional communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work to own initiative.
- Able to work individually or as part of a team.
- Enthusiastic and reliable. Previous experience in a rail industry would be advantageous.
- Full UK clean driving licence.
- Previous experience of continuous improvement and improving process / current practices.
