Compensation: up to $21/hour
Schedule:
- Monday - Thursday: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm or 10:00 am to 7:00 pm
- Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Rotating Saturdays: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Position Purpose
This position is responsible for updating and maintaining media, including books, magazines, newspapers, and websites (including LIRN), equipment, and assisting students with locating and using the media resources.
Key Duties:
- Maintain the Media Resource Center in an organized, quiet, professional, and clean manner with sufficient supplies.
- Conduct new student library orientation to all students including orientation to LIRN and all other library resources.
- Document completed orientation for each student as an activity in Campus Vue.
- Oversee the checkout/check-in system of resources for students and instructors.
- Maintain and record inventory of all resources and equipment.
- Maintain and disseminate program specific media inventories that are evaluated and updated quarterly, to include library media and instructional media available to faculty only.
- Oversee the Media Resource Center rules including but not limited to: proper usage of computers, no cellular phone use, professional behavior and language, as well as no food or drink.
- Keep the Resource Center clean and orderly at all times.
- Assist students (and staff when needed) with locating and using the proper resources.
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Campus Director of Education, Assistant Campus Director, or Campus Executive Director.
