As a highly motivated Sales Team Lead, you will lead and develop a team of financing consultants who support German SMEs with their financing needs. This role is crucial for enhancing team performance, achieving sales targets, and fostering a high-performance sales culture.
Your responsibilities include:
- KPI Responsibility: You take responsibility for monitoring and managing the KPIs, pipeline activities, and deal progress of your team to achieve sales targets.
- Lead Conversion: You ensure that your team maximises conversion by utilising all available financing products from our partners.
- Team Development: Build, lead, mentor, and develop your team of SME financing consultants to meet and exceed performance goals.
- Sales Culture Development: You promote a high-performance sales culture, act as a role model, and demonstrate resilience even in times of ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Coaching: You coach, provide feedback, and offer appropriate training to improve the sales effectiveness and product knowledge of the team.
- Collaboration: Build and maintain operational relationships with key contacts at our commercial credit partners.
- Management: Work closely with the Head of Commercials and management to align team goals with company objectives.
- Process Optimisation: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and conversion rates.
- Partner Support: Build and maintain strong relationships with lenders and internal teams to optimise operations and deal flow.
We are looking for someone with:
- At least 2 years of direct leadership experience of a team, preferably in the German or another German-speaking market.
- At least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing sales role in the financial services sector, ideally in financing, lending, or credit brokerage.
- Fluent German and English language skills are a must.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding revenue-based targets.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, set clear expectations and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and build strong relationships.
- A results-oriented mindset with attention to detail, determination, and drive.
- A passion for exceptional customer service and ensuring the best possible outcomes for customers.
- Highly organised and analytical, able to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach, always working backwards from goals to ensure effective implementation.
- Proficient in CRM systems and analysing sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
