Tide is transforming the small business banking market with over 1.8 million members globally across the UK, India, Germany and France. Using advanced technology, all solutions are designed with SMEs in mind. With quick onboarding, low fees and innovative features, we thrive on making data-driven decisions to serve our mission: to help SMEs save both time (and money) so they can get back to doing what they love.
ABOUT THE TEAM: Funding Options by Tide is the UK's leading marketplace for SME credit. We help businesses find the right finance from a panel of 80+ lenders. Your mission is to be the engine room of our growth.
We are looking for a High-Activity Hunter to identify, contact, and secure new high-value strategic partnerships with firms that serve the UK SME ecosystem (Accountants, SaaS platforms, B2B Marketplaces and Industry Associations) who can refer their SME clients to our platform.
ABOUT THE ROLE: As Senior Partnership Associate (Strategic Outreach), you will be the engine room of our partner acquisition strategy. Your primary focus is to proactively identify, qualify, and secure new strategic partnerships with firms that serve the UK SME ecosystem. This role requires a high-volume outbound mindset, combining relentless curiosity with the ability to articulate a complex value proposition to C-suite stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Pipeline Generation: Drive the "Top of Funnel" by proactively identifying and contacting potential partners through high-velocity outreach, including cold calling, LinkedIn, email campaigns and industry events.
- Strategic Market Opening: Execute a targeted outreach strategy across key verticals (e.g. Accountants, SaaS platforms, and B2B Service Providers), turning cold prospects into high-quality discovery calls.
- Opportunity Qualification: Conduct initial discovery sessions to understand a partner's ecosystem and pitch how our credit marketplace can empower their clients and create new revenue streams.
- Outreach Excellence: Master our sales stack—leveraging tools like nCino, 6Sense and Salesforce—to build, enrich, and manage a robust pipeline of "Ideal Partner Profiles."
- Commercial Pitching: Articulate the "Funding Options by Tide" value proposition, demonstrating how our tech-driven marketplace of 80+ lenders serves as a retention and growth tool for partners.
- Stakeholder Navigation: Identify and engage key decision-makers within target firms, navigating gatekeepers and handling objections to secure strategic buy-in.
- Resilience & Activity: Maintain a high level of daily activity and professional persistence, navigating market shifts and competitive landscapes with a proactive, sales-led approach.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We're looking for a high-energy, commercially driven Senior Partnership Associate with:
- 2+ years of experience in Outbound Sales, Business Development, or Partnerships, ideally within Fintech, SaaS, or Financial Services.
- A "Hunter" Mentality: Proven track record of high-activity prospecting, including cold calling and multi-channel outreach to secure meetings with senior decision-makers.
- SME Ecosystem Knowledge: A foundational understanding of the UK SME market and the challenges businesses face when accessing credit.
- Tech-Fluent Prospecting: Proficiency in managing a sales stack to build and enrich lead lists; experience with Salesforce, Apollo, or Six Sense is a significant advantage.
- Commercial Pitching Skills: The ability to articulate a value proposition clearly and handle complex objections during initial discovery phases.
- Resilience and Persistence: A self-starter who is comfortable with high-volume outreach and possesses the grit to navigate gatekeepers and follow up relentlessly.
- Execution-Focused Approach: Capable of managing a high-velocity pipeline, ensuring no lead is left behind and transitions to the senior team are seamless.
- Ownership Mindset: Highly autonomous and proactive, with the ability to identify new partner verticals and "attack" them without waiting for a script.
- Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to engage external stakeholders and align with internal teams like Product and Operations.
WHAT YOU'LL GET IN RETURN:
- 25 days of paid leave per year, plus 3 additional days for volunteering or L&D.
- Professional development budget per year.
- Vitality Health Insurance (mental & physical wellbeing focus).
- Enhanced family-friendly leave.
- Pension contributions.
- Sabbatical leave.
- 24 hours of paid volunteering time per year.
- Flexible working options, including the ability to work remotely for up to 90 days per year outside your home country.
- A brand-new office space located within the Old Street area.
