ABOUT THE TEAM
Admin Services builds and reimagines our core business management platform products; the spans expense management, company formation, registrations, accounting, payroll, to name a few, along how we enable teams and accountants to get the most out of Tide. You will be a key leader in evolving our global platform's end‑to‑end user experiences to drive greater value and differentiation. This is an established but growing speedboat, with huge amounts of opportunity to drive change and impact. Due to this exciting and broad scope we are seeking exceptional Product Design Leader to elevate user experiences and lead the future of our business management platform.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Product Design Manager, you will own multiple product domains, shaping strategy, vision, and roadmaps in collaboration with the SVP & other product leaders within Admin Services. You’ll lead the creation of new customer‑facing products, from greenfield innovations to reimagining existing solutions, driving user value and business impact. With a global focus on users in the UK, India, Germany and France, you’ll enhance mobile and web experiences core to our business management platform. Partnering with Product, Engineering, and Marketing, you’ll drive discovery, prototype rapidly using data, and deliver impactful solutions. As a key leader, you’ll champion the voice of the customer, inspire alignment with your vision, and lead agile transformations and design excellence.
As Product Design Manager, you will:
- Collaborate to Define Strategy
- Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, and senior stakeholders to define strategic goals and objectives.
- Identify and prioritise roadmap opportunities, driving the biggest impact for Tide and its members.
- De‑risk initiatives by leveraging research and collaboration to deeply understand problems and deliver valuable solutions.
- Define success metrics and expected outcomes for all initiatives.
Lead Product Vision and Delivery
- Conceptualise prototypes and artifacts that present a compelling product vision and roadmap for delivering incremental member value.
- Drive strategic initiatives to deliver tested, validated outcomes while consistently bringing value to members.
- Align delivery with vision by partnering with cross‑functional teams.
- Continuously monitor customer impact and operational success, pivoting as needed to achieve outcomes.
- Advocate for design thinking and its value across the speedboat and Tide.
- Foster a member‑centric approach throughout the organisation.
- Highlight the team’s capabilities and contributions to Tide’s strategic goals.
Lead and Develop a Global Team
- Build and mentor a high‑performing small team of Product Designers across geographies.
- Inspire and support the team with actionable career development plans.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- At least 10 years of experience in UX/Product Design, focusing on high‑growth scale‑ups, well‑known product organisations, or fintech/SME products with multiple product lines or platforms.
- Proven strategic thinker with a hands‑on approach to design and product innovation.
- Passionate about coaching teams to success through leadership, mentorship, and showcasing best practices.
- Skilled at identifying opportunities for improvement and driving impactful change.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, setting clear milestones, and adapting plans as needed.
- Exceptional communicator and storyteller, tailoring messages effectively for all audiences, including senior leadership.
- Strong focus on outcomes, delivering tangible impact for users and the business.
- Deep expertise in crafting exceptional end‑to‑end user experiences and obsessing over UX details.
- Extensive experience with user testing, research, and iterative product discovery.
- Adept at thriving in fast‑paced environments with iterative delivery.
- Experience leading design squads or driving world‑class product design efforts.
- Proficient in design methodologies (e.g., Design Thinking) and tools like Figma.
- Data‑driven, with hands‑on experience using tools like Looker, Heap, GA, or Hotjar to inform design decisions.
