The Team
The Acquiring team at Tide is a multi-disciplinary group focused on delivering propositions that help Tide members take in-person and digital card payments from their customers. The team combines product, engineering, operations and data analytics to bring new member experiences to market and is in an exciting growth period as we scale the new Acquiring business in 2025 and beyond.
The Role
As Lead Commercial Manager for Acquiring, you will own the go-to-market strategy and commercial success of Tide’s Acquiring product portfolio in the UK market. You will report directly to the UK CEO, with a dotted reporting line to the VP of Acquiring, and collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing and other cross-functional teams to drive growth, product adoption and customer engagement. The role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring deep domain knowledge, commercial acumen, and a sharp understanding of UK customer needs.
Some of the things you’ll be doing
- UK Market Revenue Ownership: Own and drive revenue growth for Tide’s Acquiring products in the UK. Set and deliver on commercial goals by aligning product development, pricing, sales and go-to-market strategies.
- Customer & Market Insight: Conduct in-depth research into customer behaviour and competitive dynamics. Use insights to guide product positioning and commercial decision-making.
- Product Strategy & Development: Partner with Product Managers to shape the Acquiring product roadmap.
- Pricing: Work with product, business, and finance teams to set pricing that aligns with the product value proposition and the competitive landscape.
- Go-To-Market Leadership: Define and execute product marketing plans, including messaging, positioning, launch strategy and lifecycle marketing.
- Sales Enablement: Drive the development of tools and initiatives to support the dedicated sales teams.
- Operational & Launch Readiness: Work cross-functionally to ensure the successful launch and adoption of new features. Support QA, training and go-live processes.
- Stakeholder Management: Be the central point of contact for Acquiring for our Executive team (including Global CEO and CFO).
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in product marketing, commercial strategy, or go-to-market roles, within fintech, SaaS, or financial services
- 5+ years of experience in merchant acquiring (in-person and digital)
- Proven success in driving commercial outcomes for banking, savings, investment, or payment products
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to shape marketing and product strategies. Hands-on Looker (or similar tool) skills preferred.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment—able to create structure where needed
- A proactive, hands-on approach—you take ownership and work backwards from outcomes
