ABOUT THE ROLE: As Director of Product you will:
- Make high‑quality decisions about product strategy & execution, translating strategy into impact‑driven roadmaps.
- Own and drive commercial outcomes for the product; set goals, deliver KPIs, and maintain internal/external relationships.
- Lead and work closely with a cross‑functional team and stakeholders to set priorities, create a roadmap, and ship products with high velocity that deliver value to our Members.
- Define goals and measure performance to evaluate and understand product value.
- Drive product discovery together with the product triad (engineering and design) and rapidly build prototypes by using qualitative and quantitative data to operationalise them.
- Play a global role by building for our growing international user base in the UK, India, Germany and France, across both mobile and web.
- Build alignment on priorities, plans and progress in your team, across other product teams, with stakeholders and the Leadership team.
- Confidently and effectively communicate on strategic as well as tactical topics across the business.
- Inspire and influence others and yourself to think differently, solve problems, seize opportunities and be passionate about working towards the mission.
- Lead your team to deliver on ambitious goals and product outcomes; confidently apply continuous feedback frameworks and translate user value into business outcomes.
- Drive transformation from the front in terms of agile ways of working, organisational, and product development.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We’re looking for an exceptional Product Leader to join admin services that is building world class accounting & tax product experiences that are core to our business management platform, and will truly benefit micro, small & medium businesses around the world. The ideal candidate will have:
- A proven track record of at least 10+ years in product management with 3+ in leadership roles.
- Domain knowledge desired in accounting & tax products or closely related field (e.g. FinTech / SaaS).
- Commercially‑minded, strategic and analytical approach with the ability to effectively make business impact via thoughtful product strategy and delivery at pace.
- Experience leading and seamlessly collaborating in cross‑functional teams to drive successful product launches, continuous improvements, and growth.
- You are an excellent communicator and storyteller, who knows how to effectively manage stakeholders, especially in relation to decision‑making, plans, progress, achievements and challenges.
- You love to and effectively coach teams and individuals to success, whether through hands‑on engagement, showcasing what good looks like, or servant leadership.
- You easily identify opportunities for improvement and drive the required changes with impact and agility.
- Outcome‑focused, you are excited by driving tangible impact for both users and the business and can confidently pivot to ensure this.
- User‑obsessed, you navigate how to build exceptional end‑to‑end experiences that resonate with consumers with differing needs.
