In this senior policy role, you will own Tide’s financial crime policy design and maintenance, covering AML, sanctions, and anti-bribery controls. You’ll align policy with UK regulatory expectations and real-world business operations, shaping a compliant control framework. You’ll collaborate with Compliance, Risk, and Operations to embed policy into day-to-day practice and support risk management across financial crime. Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end lifecycle of Ongoing Monitoring crime policies and procedures (drafting, reviews, approvals, periodic updates)
- Design and maintain the Ongoing Monitoring control framework with clear mapping to policy and regulatory obligations
- Monitor regulatory developments (FCA, HM Treasury, OFSI, JMLSG) and translate changes into updates
- Collaborate with Ongoing Monitoring Operations & Product Teams, Second Line of Defence, and Risk to ensure operational viability
- Support internal audits, regulatory examinations, and assurance reviews with policy documentation and SME guidance
- Perform gap analyses against new or changed regulation and coordinate remediation
- Provide SME guidance on policy requirements to the business
- Contribute to wider risk management across financial crime operations and risk assessments
- Build strong, cross-line relationships to ensure consistent policy application
Key requirements
- Significant experience in financial crime compliance with policy, procedure, or control design in a UK-regulated bank, payments firm, or fintech
- Strong knowledge of FCA requirements, Money Laundering Regulations 2017, and JMLSG guidance
- Proven track record in drafting and maintaining clear policy documents with governance and approvals
- Experience designing or maintaining financial crime control frameworks and supporting risk management
- Strong stakeholder management skills at senior level across Compliance, Risk, and business
- Excellent analytical and drafting skills translating regulatory requirements into actionable policy
- Experience with regulatory horizon scanning, gap analysis, and remediation planning
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with competing priorities
- Experience supporting internal audits or regulatory examinations (desirable)
