In this role, you shape Tide’s product and identity security strategy and turn it into a funded, actionable roadmap.
You lead a global team across the UK, Eastern Europe, and India, ensuring security is embedded in product design and operations.
You own application and cloud security, identity governance, and vulnerability response, delivering impact at scale.

Responsibilities
- Define and operationalize product and identity security strategy into a sequenced roadmap
- Lead and grow a global security team, setting objectives and supporting career progression
- Own end-to-end application security including secure design reviews, threat modelling, tooling, and remediation
- Oversee the penetration testing program across web, mobile, and infrastructure, including external partners
- Own cloud security posture and guardrails in collaboration with Threat Detection & Response
- Define AI and agentic security approaches for models, agents, and ML pipelines
- Own secure architecture to embed security from the ground up in new products and integrations
- Oversee Tide’s staff identity platform and IAM roadmap (zero trust, MFA, RBAC, joiner/mover/leaver)
- Establish rapid-response vulnerability operations with SLAs, integrated with Sec Ops
- Interact with executives and product/engineering leaders to communicate risk and investment cases
- Deliver security enablement and champions programs to accelerate engineering
- Act as senior escalation point during incidents alongside Threat Detection & Response
- Recruit, onboard, and mentor team members and drive performance management
- Define and report metrics showing programme effectiveness (vulnerability remediation, secure design coverage)
- Key requirements
- 10+ years cybersecurity experience
- 5+ years in a leadership role in tech/fintech
- Hands-on security engineering background (application/mobile pentesting)
- Strong knowledge of AI/security and ML production security
- Expert in threat modelling and risk communication to technical and non-technical audiences
- Track record in security enablement and security champions programs
- High organizational ability to operationalize strategy with the CISO
- Strong stakeholder management and executive-facing confidence
- Experience leading distributed teams across multiple countries/time zones
