About The Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic UI designer/developer to join our team, bringing creative flair and a confident and strategic design approach to our scaling platform. You’ll work closely with our Head of Product Design on making our feature-rich application simple and a joy to use for our customers and ticket buyers. You will also play a key role in helping to build out our design system, ensuring the UI/UX of our components is world class and readily available for our Product and Tech team to use off-the-shelf. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the driving design force behind a rapidly growing platform used by 30k event organisers worldwide.

What you’ll be doing in the role:

  • Design features and optimise UI/UX for our mass market initiatives, focusing on simplifying UI to achieve mass market impact.
  • Design new components for our design system that can be used across the business.
  • Code frontend of features and UI components using HTML/CSS/JS.
  • Ensure our core frontend code is organised and reusable across the business.
  • Assist our development team in building frontend code consistent with our code standards.
  • Assist in modernising our frontend code and patterns.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Product Design on design system planning, strategy, and rollout.
  • Work with our product managers and dev team to identify UI/UX improvements.

Helpful skills and experience:

  • Strong understanding of UX theory.
  • Prototyping and wireframing with tools such as Figma.
  • Fluency in HTML/CSS/JS.
  • Understanding of web applications and front end performance.
  • Use of a product analytics platform such as Pendo or Mixpanel is beneficial but not a core requirement.
  • Version control (Git) is beneficial but not a core requirement.

The Process:

  1. An initial discovery call to learn more about you (30 minutes).
  2. A coding task, to complete in your own time to show us your HTML, CSS, and JS skills (no more than 3 hours).
  3. A technical interview call (30 minutes).
  4. A design exercise and chat with the product team and culture interview (usually around 2 hours).
