THE TEAM
Imagine millions of fans discovering events and selecting the best ticket options from an interactive seat map. As a member of the Event Detail Page (EDP) team, you will help convert intent to purchase in a rich, efficient, and consistent manner.
THE JOB
Our goal is to inspire fans to attend their favourite events by removing friction at every corner of the discovery and purchase process. We are looking for an exceptional engineer and leader who has experience building highly scalable services, the ability to lead projects, and the ability to collaborate with teams across the globe. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, know how to deliver, are deeply technical and highly innovative, and are looking for leadership opportunities, we want to talk to you. Behind the scenes you will use AWS to securely orchestrate purchase steps including ticket presentation and reservations. On the front end you will build responsive UI/UX to abstract away complexity and keep fan excitement levels high. Your work will directly affect products used by millions every day and will have a material impact on our business.
What You Will Be Doing
- Collaborate with product and engineering peers in defining software engineering strategy and technical roadmap.
- Lead staffing efforts across several teams, including onshore and offshore, as well as full-time and contract.
- Address relevant personnel matters such as allocation and performance evaluation.
- Monitor and support skill and career development for direct reports.
- Unite technical leaders in the definition of processes and best practices.
- Serve as an advocate for technical initiatives in the product roadmap planning process.
- Periodically provide valuable individual coding contributions to expedite initiatives.
- Support on-call needs through direct contribution or escalation/rotation management.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with proven years of software development experience in the React and Next.js ecosystem.
- Proven experience in an engineering management role.
- Experience working with AWS.
- Strong experience working both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience leading and mentoring software engineers, including leading design reviews and architecture discussions.
- High-volume applications and systems experience.
- Previous experience with Agile and Lean practices preferred.
- Experience with Kafka streaming.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes.
- Passion for learning, collaborating, and building.
- Highly skilled, curious, and motivated engineer who wants to be involved in scaling, securing, and driving multiple projects based on client expectations.
