THE TEAM
You will be working as part of a cross functional platform team to deliver infrastructure and platform services for Ticketmaster’s ticketing product(s) in our North American and international markets. Partnering with product and software engineering teams to ensure alignment on achieving business goals for the Availability Services product suite.
THE JOB
Ticketmaster is part of Live Nation Entertainment which is the world’s leading live entertainment company comprised of global market leaders: Ticketmaster, Live Nation Concerts, LN Media and Artist Nation Management. You will consult on and help to implement solutions as part of a Product Delivery team. Enabling teams to deliver software faster by creation of tooling and automation, providing operational support for a range of products, including the delivery of ticketing and associated solutions for major tournaments and high-profile sports clubs and events. Because our business is online 24/7, you will be required to work out of hours and provide on-call duty on a rotational basis.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Supporting and maintaining a hybrid Windows and Linux infrastructure, ensuring stability, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Partnering with product engineering teams to bring new features and platform components into production, contributing to a seamless deployment pipeline.
- Automating recurring tasks, deployments, and testing workflows using infrastructure-as-code and scripting tools to improve consistency and speed.
- Designing and implementing highly available, fault-tolerant systems that meet performance and scalability demands.
- Planning, organizing, and clearly communicating project progress and outcomes to stakeholders and team members.
- Driving continuous improvements in system architecture, security, and operational processes to meet PCI compliance and internal standards.
- Diagnosing and resolving complex issues across the full technology stack, from infrastructure to application level.
- Conducting regular infrastructure audits, identifying gaps, and maintaining a well-prioritized backlog of improvements and enhancements.
- Creation and maintenance of observability dashboards to maintain SLA/SLI requirements.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)
- Solid hands-on experience working with public cloud platforms, particularly AWS, including infrastructure provisioning and cloud-native services.
- Hands-on expertise with Kafka Streams for real-time data processing. Solid knowledge of stream processing concepts, Schema Registry, and Service Mesh.
- Comfortable working with and integrating RESTful APIs, enabling automation, observability, and platform extensibility.
- Solid experience with Java (17+) and Spring Boot.
- Practical experience provisioning infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation, following infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server configuration and administration, with the ability to support hybrid environments.
- Experience building observability dashboards using tools like Splunk, Kabana, and Grafana.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, and Python, with a strong focus on automation and operational efficiency.
- Skilled in using configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Octopus Deploy to streamline and standardize infrastructure deployments.
- Familiar with network storage technologies, such as NetApp and Amazon S3, including setup, management, and optimization.
- Experience with agentic coding tools like Claude Code or OpenAI Codex.
