Overview of the Department: Nuveen Infrastructure's European clean energy team manages funds which invest in renewable power generation assets in Europe for an AUM value in excess of €3bn. The funds target assets in development, construction or in operation across the main technologies of onshore wind, offshore wind and solar PV battery storage, hydropower and bioenergy across Western Europe. Since 2007, Nuveen Infrastructure has invested in 119 clean energy infrastructure projects representing 6.9 + GW in total. The team comprises 70+ professionals dedicated to clean energy across equity and credit.
As a Clean Energy Investment Off Cycle Intern, you will have the opportunity to:
- Conduct research on selected sectors, countries, or market segments to identify trends and produce market analysis.
- Follow regulatory development in the renewable energy sector (regulatory framework, tariffs, EU targets & tenders).
- Develop internal analysis and recommendations to inform investment strategy for current and future funds.
- Produce marketing materials for fund raising campaigns.
- Support in analysis of energy generation projects & valuations using cash flow based financial models.
- Assist in project SPV financial statements analysis.
- Support the investment team in drafting investment proposals and investment committee presentations for acquisition, project financing and divestment transactions.
- Aid in transaction administration, ensuring compliance of internal procedures.

- Ability to gain hands-on experience as well as getting an overall feel for the firm/industry by attending business meetings, delivering presentations, exploring business-specific tasks, contributing to projects, and working closely with cross-functional groups.

- A highly motivated and proactive individual interested in investment funds, renewable energy and keen to work in a dynamic business environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication adapted to different audiences.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to raise and discuss areas of risk and concern.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint: ability to prepare presentations and other corporate documents.
- A Master's in Finance/STEM/Business Management related degree preferable.
- We cover a diverse range of clients across Europe so another EU language would be beneficial (e.g. Spanish, Italian or German).
