We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Afternoon Loader to join our team. You will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading goods, ensuring accurate handling, and maintaining a safe work environment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work and afternoon shifts.

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 11am-7pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles in a timely and safe manner.
  • Ensure all items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
  • Sort and allocate products according to delivery schedules.
  • Use lifting equipment where necessary and follow manual handling guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized loading area.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.
  • Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the supervisor.
  • Some office work including creating delivery manifests and re-printing delivery paperwork when required.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar environment (preferred).
  • Ability to lift heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Punctual and reliable, with a strong work ethic.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • FLT and shunting experience preferred.
  • Full training provided.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • A shunting license would be desirable.
