We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Supervisor on the Night Shift at our site in Cradley Heath, Birmingham. In this role you will lead and supervise the night shift loading operations, ensuring all customer orders are picked, loaded, and dispatched safely, accurately, and on time. The role is responsible for driving safety standards, team performance, and operational efficiency within a busy metals warehouse environment.
The Nights Team includes 4 Drivers who you will oversee and support as well as 3 Warehouse Operatives. The shifts are:
- Monday- Thursday: 10pm- 6.30am
- Fridays: 8pm-2am
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the night shift loading team to meet dispatch targets and service levels.
- Allocate workloads and monitor productivity to ensure efficient order fulfilment.
- Oversee loading operations using overhead cranes and FLT equipment, ensuring safe handling of various steel and aluminium products.
- Ensure all loads are compliant, secure, and meet transport/legal requirements.
- Act as the first point of contact for team members during the shift.
