We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Afternoon Loader to join our team. You will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading goods, ensuring accurate handling, and maintaining a safe work environment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work and afternoon shifts.
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 11am-7pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles in a timely and safe manner.
- Ensure all items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Sort and allocate products according to delivery schedules.
- Use lifting equipment where necessary and follow manual handling guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized loading area.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the supervisor.
- Some office work including creating delivery manifests and re-printing delivery paperwork when required.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar environment (preferred).
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Punctual and reliable, with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
- FLT and shunting experience preferred.
- Full training provided.
- Full UK driving license.
- A shunting license would be desirable.
