What we expect
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage suppliers, including contract negotiation, renewal, and performance reviews, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and processes to optimize purchasing activities, manage budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and issue tenders, RFQs, cost assessments, purchase orders, and related documentation while managing procurement workflows and vendor onboarding.
- Monitor and control spending, supply chain risks, quality standards, materials on-site, imports, customs duties, and conduct site audits to ensure project objectives and quality requirements are met.
- Utilise procurement systems, databases, and MS Office (especially Excel) proficiently, supported by strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate flexibility, decisiveness, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve fulfilment and project targets.
Who we are looking for
- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Level 4 or equivalent (or higher).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a procurement role undertaking complex procurement tasks such as managing major vendors, managing tenders, closing RFQs for big valued categories.
- Preferably experience in major projects within the construction industry.
- Preferably experience in NEC contracts.
- Strong skills using MS Office, databases, and eProcurement systems.
- Consistently works to deadlines.
- Strong organisational and people skills.
- Good negotiation experience in complex commodities/projects.
- Highly motivated, reliable and hardworking.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
