We are looking for a Modernisation Project Manager who will be responsible for managing a varying portfolio of modernisation and enhancement projects within the London & South region, reporting to the Regional Director.
Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety rules and guidelines across the region.
- Identify training needs/methods for engineers.
- Travel will be required as part of this role.
- Liaise with the modernisation and enhancement teams in all aspects of contracts.
- Liaise and assist modernisation and enhancement teams to ensure accurate, best-engineered materials are provided to ensure profitable returns on all works.
- Ensure all works follow the appropriate company working practices.
- Carry out site surveys, which should include an assessment of materials access/egress etc.
- Ensure the materials supplied are in full compliance with regulatory codes and practices along with ensuring that these comply with any clients/consultant's specification.
- Ensure that any areas of non-compliance with clients/consultants' specification which were highlighted in our tender return documents have been acknowledged and approved by the client/consultant.
- Obtain materials from TK Elevator approved suppliers only.
- Liaise with TK Elevator approved suppliers to ensure that all relevant information is provided to them to enable correct supply of materials.
- Visit the customer and discuss levels of works required, provide feedback and monitor customer service levels of satisfaction.
- Take ultimate ownership for all customer complaints, adhere to internal process and ensure issues are effectively resolved.
- Be fully conversant with the project book and update accordingly.
- Attend site meetings with the client and visit site with the engineer to ensure compliance with job pack.
- Represent TK Elevator in a positive and proactive way within the local community, developing strong local relationships with customers and assuming ownership for modernisation and enhancement works.
- Previous experience in a Project Manager role managing a team.
- Experience working in an Operational role within the Lift industry.
- Experience of a high-volume modernisation environment.
- Customer relationship management skills and experience.
- Hold a full UK Driving License and able to travel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to use your initiative and work well with others.
- Positive attitude and receptive to change.
- Extremely organised.
- Superior customer-care skills.
- The ability to self-assess and take ownership of personal development.
