Our service and maintenance operations are supported by our International Technical Services network (ITS): a global network of research centres and product experts dedicated to providing high-level technical support for our competitors’ elevators and escalators. ITS Manchester is a unique environment, with lift and escalator engineers alongside software and electronics specialists, working together to understand the latest technology developments in our industry and deliver solutions for our customers’ service requirements.

The ITS network is committed to making our extensive knowledge in third-party maintenance accessible to each of TK Elevator’s service technicians across the world, so they are equipped to provide the highest quality service and keep customers’ equipment moving.

What we expect:

  • Provide remote technical support to TKE field technicians across Europe, with occasional travel to give on-site support when required.
  • Get involved in research about new control systems and digital solutions.
  • Assist in the development of training simulators and product test rigs.
  • Undertake training as necessary to be at the forefront of industry and technological developments.
  • Deliver training courses to field engineers from across Europe.
  • Assist with the preparation of product support content for field use.

Who we are looking for:

  • Proven experience working as a field support engineer.
  • A subject matter expert in one or more of our major competitors’ product lines.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, telephone, and written.
  • Positive attitude, capable of working under pressure as part of a team.
  • Confident in using your own initiative and proactive thinking outside of the box.
  • An investigative mind-set that approaches issues from all angles, especially for the purpose of identifying workarounds for ongoing incidents.
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • NVQ4 (or similar) qualification an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • It is desirable if you have language skills, especially in French (Italian or German can also be considered).
