We are currently seeking a Field Support Engineer with technical elevator knowledge and experience of our major competitors’ products to join our pioneering team in Manchester. As a Field Support Engineer, your day to day will include:
- Provide remote technical support to TKE field technicians across Europe, with occasional travel to give on-site support when required
- Get involved in research about new control systems and digital solutions
- Assist in the development of training simulators and product test rigs
- Undertake training as necessary to be at the forefront of industry and technological developments
- Deliver training courses to field engineers from across Europe
- Assist with the preparation of product support content for field use
Who we are looking for:
- Proven experience working as a field support engineer
- A subject matter expert in one or more of our major competitors’ product lines
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, telephone and written
- Positive attitude, capable of working under pressure as part of a team
- Confident in using your own initiative and proactive thinking outside of the box
- An investigative mind-set that approaches issues from all angles, especially for the purpose of identifying workarounds for ongoing incidents
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
- NVQ4 (or similar) qualification an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- It is desirable if you have language skills, especially in French (Italian or German can also be considered)
