Thyme is working with a fast-growing UK renewable energy business that is transforming how households access solar technology.
Following significant growth, the business is looking for a Senior Logistics & Procurement Associate to join its Operations team and take ownership of key purchasing, supplier and logistics activity.
This is a hands-on operational role suited to someone who enjoys being close to the detail β managing purchase orders, dealing directly with suppliers, resolving delivery issues, working with stock and forecasting data, and improving processes as the company scales.
What you'll be doing
- Raise, process and track purchase orders from requirement through to delivery.
- Work directly with suppliers and wholesalers on pricing, availability and lead times.
- Follow up on outstanding orders and resolve shortages, delays, damaged deliveries and pricing discrepancies.
- Coordinate equipment movements and ensure products reach operational teams when required.
- Support demand forecasting and stock planning using sales and operational pipeline data.
- Monitor inventory levels and help balance product availability against excess stock.
- Match purchase orders, goods received and supplier invoices.
- Reconcile procurement costs and investigate discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate purchasing, stock and operational reporting.
- Work closely with Finance, Operations, suppliers and external logistics partners.
- Identify opportunities to improve purchasing, reporting and logistics processes as the business grows.
What we're looking for:
You will have recent, hands-on experience within procurement, purchasing, supply chain or operations and be comfortable personally managing orders and suppliers.
Weβre particularly interested in candidates with:
- End-to-end purchase order ownership.
- Direct supplier or wholesaler management.
- Experience confirming pricing, availability and lead times.
- Strong organisation across multiple suppliers, orders and changing priorities.
- Experience resolving shortages, late deliveries, damaged goods or pricing issues.
- Confidence working with invoices, costs, budgets or procurement spend.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including lookups, pivot tables, SUMIFS, conditional logic or similar.
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
- Clear communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
