We’re looking for a Workshop operative (access) to help us keep our fleet in excellent condition and ready for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair our MEWP hire fleet
- Carry out LOLER inspections and keep accurate records
- Diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic faults
- Clean, prepare, and rebrand equipment for customers
- Maintain a safe, tidy, and organised workshop
Requirements
Essential:
- Experience or qualifications in powered access (CAP, IPAF) preferred, however not essential for the right candidate as training offered
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge
- Ability to read and work with schematics
- Familiarity with a range of access equipment and manufacturers
- Practical, methodical, and hands-on approach
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Confident with paperwork and basic IT systems (MS Office)
- Reliable, hard-working, and detail-oriented
- Willing to learn and develop within a growing company
Desirable:
- Plant hire, forklift, or mechanical engineering industries that involve LOLER Inspections
- Maintenance and repair of lifting equipment
- Electrical/hydraulic engineering with hands-on experience
