We are looking for an experienced access engineer with proven experience of LOLER Examinations and small repairs across our range of hired lifting and access equipment. Tools and equipment will be provided.

In this role you will:
- Meet the expanding engineering requirements of our increasing locations and fleet numbers, ensuring continued compliance and certification of LOLER & PUWER legislation.
- Ensure LOLER inspections (6 and 12 Months) are carried out in a timely professional manner.
- Ensure accurate records are produced and maintained (with admin support).
- Maintenance, repair, service and response to breakdowns of THX’s rental fleet of MEWPS.
- Ensure re-charge of repairs and other chargeable costs to the customer where applicable, in line with THX’s policies and objectives.
- Provide support to our warehouse, workshop and driving teams as required.
Essential Requirements for the role:
- You must have relevant experience or qualifications within the powered access industry e.g. CAP, IPAF and manufacturer courses (desirable – training provided for the right candidate).
- Be accredited with up-to-date LOLER qualifications – Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) preferred.
- Proven track record of ability to inspect and repair any fault across all aspects of Access / MEWP / Lifting equipment.
- Electrical/hydraulic engineering qualifications or time served – competent with schematics.
- Familiar with a variety of manufacturer’s equipment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, operating autonomously as a key member of THX’s engineering team.
- Good MS Office and computer literacy skills.
- Good with paperwork and accurate documentation.
- Excellent decision-making skills.
- Safety conscious.
- Great communication skills – both verbal and written across all disciplines and at all levels.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
- Effective planning and organisation skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
