This is a practical, hands-on role supporting employees across the business with day-to-day IT needs while helping maintain and improve the company's IT systems. You will work closely with the internal IT team to ensure staff have the tools and systems they need to operate effectively, while helping maintain a stable and well-managed technology environment. The role involves a mix of user support, device management, Microsoft 365 administration, and general IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • End User Support
    • Provide first and second line IT support to employees across the business
    • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
    • Provide support in person, via phone, email, and ticketing systems
  • Device & Equipment Management
    • Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices
    • Manage device setup and provisioning for new employees
    • Support ongoing hardware lifecycle management
  • Microsoft Environment Support
    • Administer Microsoft 365 accounts and services
    • Manage users, permissions and access through Active Directory / Azure ActiveDirectory
    • Support endpoint management using Microsoft Intune
  • Systems Monitoring & Maintenance
    • Perform routine system maintenance and updates
    • Support network connectivity and office infrastructure
    • Monitor systems to ensure reliability and performance
  • IT Operations
    • Assist with IT onboarding and offboarding processes
    • Maintain documentation of IT processes, issues and solutions
    • Work with external suppliers when escalation is required
  • Security & Best Practice
    • Support implementation of IT security policies and best practices
    • Ensure devices and user accounts are configured securely

Requirements Skills & Experience

We’re looking for someone who is practical, reliable and solutions-focused.

Essential

  • Experience working in an IT support or service desk role
  • Strong troubleshooting ability across hardware, software and networks
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments
  • Experience with Active Directory / Azure ActiveDirectory
  • Experience managing devices using Microsoft Intune
  • Experience using ticketing or helpdesk systems
  • Strong communication skills and a helpful approach to supporting users

Desirable

  • Experience supporting SME or operational businesses
  • Basic knowledge of network infrastructure
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
