THX is investing in technology to simplify operations, scale intelligently, and remove friction from the business. We are looking for an IT Project Manager who can take ownership of complex, cross-functional initiatives and turn strategy into delivery that actually sticks.
You will operate at the intersection of technology, operations, and senior leadership, owning delivery end-to-end — from shaping and planning through to adoption and measurable outcomes. If you are comfortable with responsibility, ambiguity, and senior exposure — and enjoy making complex environments work better.
We are offering this role on a 12 Month fixed-term contract based onsite at our Cambridge Offices.
What you will be responsible for
- Leading the delivery of business-critical IT and digital initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, aligned to business priorities, and adopted by the organisation.
- Owning multiple concurrent IT and digital projects from initiation through to completion and adoption.
- Working with senior stakeholders to shape scope, priorities, and delivery plans.
- Translating business problems into clear, deliverable workstreams with defined outcomes.
- Coordinating internal teams and external vendors without relying on excessive process.
- Managing delivery risk proactively — technical, operational, financial, and organisational.
- Ensuring solutions are implemented in a way that genuinely improves how the business operates.
- Providing clear, confident communication to leadership on progress, risks, and decisions.
You will be expected to lead, not just manage — bringing clarity, structure, and momentum where complexity exists.
What success looks like
Within your first 6–12 months, success will look like:
- Priority projects delivered with minimal disruption to operations.
- Senior stakeholders trusting you as a reliable delivery partner.
- Improved delivery rhythm, visibility, and decision-making.
- Technology initiatives that make the business easier to run — not harder.
About you
You are a confident, pragmatic IT Project Manager who understands that delivery is as much about people and judgement as it is about plans and tools. You are likely to have:
- Proven experience delivering IT or digital projects in operationally complex environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with senior leaders.
- Commercial awareness — you understand cost, value, and delivery trade-offs.
- The confidence to challenge constructively and make decisions when required.
- A flexible approach to delivery frameworks (you use methodologies pragmatically).
- Experience managing third-party suppliers and implementation partners.
You don’t need to have done everything — but you do need to be comfortable owning outcomes.
Useful, but not essential
- Experience in multi-site, asset-heavy, logistics, hire, or operations-led businesses.
- Exposure to ERP, operational systems, finance platforms, or field-based technology.
- PRINCE2, Agile, PMP, or similar certifications.
Why this role is different
- Real ownership and accountability.
- Direct exposure to senior leadership.
- Projects that materially affect how the business runs.
- A pragmatic environment focused on outcomes, not theatre.
This role is not for you if…
- You prefer highly structured, low-ambiguity environments.
- You rely on rigid methodology to drive delivery.
- You are uncomfortable challenging stakeholders or owning decisions.
- You are looking for a purely administrative PM role.
THX is no ordinary workplace! In exchange for helping us do a great job and continue to grow our business, we offer a comprehensive rewards package and genuine career development opportunities.
Benefits include:
- Recharge with 25 Days Holiday (with Bank Holidays on top).
- Looking after your future with a company pension.

- NO MORE PACKED LUNCHES: Enjoy access to our fully stocked kitchens, filled with snacks and treats to keep you fueled throughout the day.
And that’s not all…
