Langdale Chase Hotel, which sits on the banks of beautiful Lake Windermere, has recently undergone a full and significant refurbishment and reopened its doors in November 2023. In that time the hotel has achieved 5 Star Status from the AA and been recognised in the prestigious Times Top 100 Places to Stay, ranked No.3 and North of England Hotel of the Year.

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Assistant, with particular experience in painting and decorating to support the Maintenance Manager with the ongoing maintenance of our beautiful refurbished property.

Your day to day:

  • You will support the Maintenance Manager by ensuring all areas of our property are presented to a very high standard.
  • You will complete any painting and decorating as required around the property.
  • You will support the maintenance team with resolving day to day maintenance issues in the bedrooms and around the property to ensure our guests have an enjoyable experience.
  • You will proactively complete all basic aspects of plumbing, minor electrical issues, decorating and maintenance jobs as required.

Who are we looking for?

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Maintenance team for a luxury hotel as an experienced painter and decorator. You must be highly organised and focused with a great eye for detail and a genuine passion for providing excellent service. You’ll need to be aware of our busy periods, working around our guests to ensure they have a fabulous experience. You will already be an experienced painter and decorator with some maintenance experience desirable, preferably with hotel property experience. Qualifications in Health & Safety, Electrical and Fire Safety would be advantageous. Experience with decorating is essential and experience with plumbing would also be beneficial.

As the needs of our guests are our highest priority, there may require some flexibility to work at the weekends to support with the ongoing demands of the business.
