Are you a strategic sales leader with a passion for hospitality and a drive to deliver commercial success? We’re looking for a Head of Sales to lead proactive sales efforts across our luxury hotel property, focusing on meetings & events, group bookings, and corporate business.
As Head of Sales, you’ll be responsible for all revenue-generating activity at your property. You’ll work closely with the General Manager and Sales Director to develop and execute strategies that drive demand and maximise profitability. You’ll also play a key role in elevating the sales culture across the hotel and wider group.
Responsibilities
- Account manage key hotel and group accounts to maximise potential.
- Lead strategic sales activities including Sales Blitzes, Fam Trips, Tradeshows, and client entertainment.
- Negotiate contracts and manage RFPs for corporate business.
- Build and execute annual budgets and business plans in collaboration with the commercial team.
- Develop and mentor the on-property Sales Executive to build a strong talent pipeline.
- Monitor/create where needed the sales forecast and action when shortfalls are identified.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust strategies proactively.
- Coordinate with marketing and social media teams to ensure campaigns support hotel objectives.
- Provide accurate monthly reporting and forecasting to stakeholders.
- Represent the hotel at industry events and exhibitions.
Qualifications
As Head of Sales, you will be responsible for all sales and revenue generating activity for your property, whilst supporting proactively generating sales for the Group. Working closely with the Sales Director to identify challenges and focus resource to maximise turnover and profitability of the business. You will be a natural sales expert focused on solution-led selling and excellent at relationship building. We’re looking for someone who is results-driven, using data and insight to guide decisions and exceed targets. As a natural strong leader, you will be able to elevate the sales culture across the business as well as being a collaborative team player who thrives in a supportive environment.
You will have proven success in a proactive hotel sales role, ideally at Head of Sales or Senior Proactive level. You will be excellent at negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Hotel industry experience is advantageous.
